The home should be kitty-ready even before you get one. A scratching post is must of you want to save your furniture. The cat houses and cat foods should be checked. Shop from the authentic shops and online stores. Toilet papers and things of this sort should be kept away from the reach of the felines.   

6. Who will take care of the kitty when I’m not at home?

This is another very important question that you need to answer. This is not a problem when the kitty gets used to the new place and people. However, in the initial phase, leaving them unsupervised will be a problem. So, make sure that there is someone to take care of her even when you are not around.
